Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how OmniUPI collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use our website, merchant dashboard, payment-link features and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the feature you use, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, login information, merchant identifiers, UPI IDs, transaction or payment-link information, device and browser information, IP address, logs and support communications.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, provide merchant and payment-link functionality, facilitate configured payment workflows, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, improve the platform and comply with applicable law.
3. Google User Data
When you choose Google authentication, OmniUPI may receive basic Google account information made available through the authentication flow, such as your name and email address. We use this information to authenticate your account, create or access your OmniUPI merchant account, maintain account security and provide the OmniUPI services you request.
If Gmail read-only access is separately authorized for a merchant feature, OmniUPI uses that access only to read relevant merchant payment-notification emails needed for the requested payment-reconciliation functionality. We do not use Gmail content for advertising, credit scoring, data brokerage or generalized AI/ML training.
We do not sell Google user data. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except service providers or integrations reasonably necessary to authenticate, host, secure or operate the requested OmniUPI functionality, or when disclosure is required by law. Our handling of Google user data is limited to the purposes disclosed here and is intended to comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.
4. Payment Information
OmniUPI should not be used to collect or store UPI PINs, card PINs, CVV values, banking passwords, OTPs or other authentication secrets. Payment authentication may be handled by banks or payment providers whose own terms and privacy policies may also apply.
5. Sharing & Service Providers
Information may be shared with vendors that help operate hosting, databases, authentication, communications, security or payment-related integrations, only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the requested service. We may disclose information when required by law or to investigate fraud, security incidents or abuse.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, authentication, encrypted connections and logging where applicable. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for account operation, security, dispute handling, backups, audits and applicable legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by data type and service.
8. Your Choices
You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information where applicable, subject to legal, security, accounting and transaction-record requirements. Contact us with enough information to verify your request.
9. Cookies & Similar Technologies
The website may use essential cookies or local storage for login sessions, preferences, security and functionality.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or data requests, please use the Contact Us option on OmniUPI or the support facility available in the merchant dashboard.
